Kengo Hayashi

...y'know my "Mysterious Man" deviation? Well, this is the protagonist of the series I've been creating!

Kengo Hayashi is a 13-year-old, half Chinese and half Japanese junior high student who is able to detect the prescence of various Japanese mythological evils. Kengo must deal with this, and prevent these Japanese mythological creatures from destroying the public, while at the same time keeping up with his junior high school education.

Kengo lives in Akihabara with his parents and sister. His father Kiyoharu (or Qingchun, in Chinese) is from Hong Kong, while his mother Satomi is a Tokyo native. Because of his dual Chinese and Japanese heritage, Kengo is capable of speaking Cantonese, Japanese and Mandarin.

Since his 13th birthday, Kengo has been able to see various Japanese monsters, when many others cannot. Assisted by Qinglong, his talking, blue plush dragon, he works to save his hometown by putting the demons to rest.

One could say the proportions aren't quite right - I sort of exaggerated it to represent his perspective. By the way, if anyone happens to have the same name, even written with the same combination of characters, I swear on my life that it is pure coincidence.
